Serap Tüfekçi Aslim was born in Antakya, and she completed her primary and secondary education there. She completed her BA degree at the department of curriculum and instruction at Gazi University, Faculty of Education. She also had her MA degree completing her dissertation themed as “The Evaluation of Field Experiment” at Curriculum and Instruction Department at Gazi University, Institute of Social Sciences. She had her PhD degree following the completion of her dissertation named as “The Effects of Brain Based Learning on Achievement, Retention, Attitude and Learning Process” at Curriculum and Instruction program at Institute of Social Sciences, Educational Sciences at Hacettepe University.

Serap Tüfekçi Aslim started her career as a primary school teacher in 1996. In 1998 she became a Research Assistant at the Department of Educational Sciences and Curriculum, Institute of Industrial Art Education Faculty, Gazi University. She became an lecturer in 2005 and an assistant professor three years later (2008) at the same department. Now, she continues her career as an Assistant Professor at The Department of Educational Sciences, Gazi University.

She has participated in various projects as are searcher and she has written some book chapters, published articles and proceedings in her field.

Teacher training, field experiment, learning-teaching processes, learning-teaching theory and approaches, brain based learning, constructivist approach, lifelong learning, learning-teaching environment, skills on educational curriculum, curriculum development and evaluation are her main interests.
