Prof. Dr. Yücel GELİŞLİ is currently the director of the Department of Educational Sciences at Gazi Education Faculty at Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Department of Curriculum and Instruction from Gazi Education Faculty of Gazi University, Master’s degree in Curriculum Development from the Social Sciences Institute of Balıkesir University, and PhD in Curriculum and Instruction (Social and Historical Foundations of Education) from the Social Sciences Institute of Ankara University. Gelişli worked as a teacher in primary and secondary education institutions in Ministry of National Education between the years of 1987 – 1993. He continued his career as a research assistant in Vocational Education Faculty of Gazi University in 1993. He became an assistant professor in 2001 and an associate professor in 2006. In 2011, he has become a professor in the department of Curriculum and Instruction in Education Sciences of Gazi Faculty of Education in Gazi University. His main research interests are Curriculum Development, Teacher Training System and Turkish History of Education. |
